Daydreaming

Vin Tanner grinned as he stretched and then leaned back against the elevator wall. Closing his eyes a small laugh escaped as he fingered the ring on his left pinky. Twisting it around and around his finger he thought back to last night and felt his pulse quicken. In his mind Vin could see and even feel him and Ezra wrapped around each other in a dance as old as time itself. Breathing and moving as one.

Suddenly there was a binging sound and then the elevator came to stop. With a groan Vin pushed away from the wall and made his to Team Seven's office area. Seeing that he'd actually managed to beat Chris in he headed straight for the coffee pot and quickly put a pot on to brew. Walking over to his desk he flopped down in his chair and propped his boot clad feet on the corner. Leaning back Vin watched how the light reflected off his ring and he smiled. Raising his hand he kissed the ring before once again twisting it around his finger then allowed his eyes to drift shut......

After Ezra kicked the door shut, he laid him on the bed and stood there just looking at him. Letting those expressive green eyes feast on him just like he said he would. Under that heated gaze Vin began to squirm and briefly closed his eyes. His eyes flew open as he felt hot breath on his ankle and he moaned at the naughty grin on Ezra's face as he knelt between his legs. Only allowing his mouth to touch him his lover kissed and nipped his way up Vin's legs being sure to pay special attention to the sensitive spots behind each knee and his inner thighs. Vin growled in frustration as Ezra completely bypassed his weeping flesh, but he hardly had time for regrets as Ezra began to kiss and tongue his belly button. Reaching down he buried his fingers in Ezra's hair and tried to pull him up for a kiss, but the Southerner ignored him and continued his assault.

Just as Vin thought he might actually die from the pleasure racking his body he felt the tips of Ezra's fingers skim up his outer thighs, around his lean hips and he whimpered as he almost arched completely off the bed as Ezra wrap a hand around him and...

"Vin."

The sharpshooter frowned as he vaguely heard someone call his name. But that's not right. Ezra hadn't said his name then. Vin remembered Ezra's mouth being full at the time.

"Vin."

Vin swore as he realized who that annoyed voice belonged to. His blue eyes flow open as his feet dropped to the floor and he darted a nervous glance at Chris before getting quickly to his feet and headed for the coffee pot. "Morning Cowboy," he said keeping his back turned.

"Were you asleep?" Chris asked.

"I must have dozed off," he replied.

"Ezra keep you up all night?" the black clad man teased.

In a manner of speaking, he thought to himself and merely shrugged.

"I take it the two of you didn't fight when you got home."

"No," Vin said with a smile on his face and then took a sip of coffee the sat it on the counter to cool off.

"What's that?"

Vin frowned until he noticed that Chris talking about the ring. "Ezra gave it to me," he told him taking it off and handing it over, "it was his father's."

Chris took the ring and smiled, "That's some ring." The smile grew as he watched Vin slip it back on, "How's it feel?"

The Texan shrugged his shoulders and whispered, "Right. Like it belongs. Does that make sense?"

"Yeah, it does. I'm happy for both of you," Chris said and slapped him on the shoulder before heading for his office.

With a sigh Vin sat down at his desk and glanced at the clock. 7:30. Damn, it'll be another hour and half before Ezra dragged his ass in here. Thinking of Ezra's ass brought the grin back to Vin's face and he got a wicked gleam in his blue eyes as he contemplated calling his lover and waking him up; just so that he could hear his husky-with-sleep annoyed southern voice. Vin had just picked up the receiver when Chris walked back out of his office and paused at his desk. With a grin on his face he replaced the receiver and looked up at him.

Chris shook his head in mock disgust at the goofy grin on Vin's face, which caused the grin to grow. "Will you stop all that damned grinning," he snapped as he fought to hide his own grin.

"What? I can't help it," Vin told him with a small laugh.

Again the black clad man shook his head. "Look I have an early meeting with Judge Travis. I'll probably be gone an hour, an hour and a half at the most," he told him with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Ok," was all Vin said as he watched Chris head for the door. Once at the door the team leader turned at looked at him.

"A word from the wise," Chris began with narrowed eyes looking right at Vin, "I wouldn't let Buck catch you daydreaming."

"Do you ever daydream?" Vin asked not even bothering to deny it. Silently he swore as Chris run a hand through his hair. Way to go, Tanner, he thought to himself, bring back some memories for him.

"I used to," was all he said and then left.

Vin took a deep breath and ran a hand through his own hair before the ring on his finger once again caught his attention. With a grin on his face he laid his head on his arm and closed his eyes...

Screaming Ezra's name he gripped the sheets tightly in his fists as wave after wave of pleasure washed over him leaving him gasping for air and feeling boneless. "Ezra," Vin moaned as he felt his lover stretch out on top of him and lay his head over his pounding heart. Reaching up he took Ezra's head between his hands, pulled him up until their lips touch, pushed his tongue deep into that hot mouth, and was thrilled as he tasted himself in their kiss.

Feeling Ezra's searing hot weeping flesh pressed into his belly gave Vin his second wind. Tearing his mouth away he trailed kisses across Ezra's jaw to his ear and whispered, "Take me, Ez. I need to feel ya in me." Vin felt himself blush under the intensity of Ezra's gaze and opened his legs to allow him access.

Vin moaned deep in his throat as he felt those talented fingers fill and stretch him. He then whimpered in regret as the fingers were removed and he waited with bated breath for Ezra to make them one...

"Buck you are so full of shit," JD fussed as him and his best friend walked toward the office. "That didn't happen and you know it."

"How would you know?" Buck countered. "Just where did you disappear to last night anyway?"

JD shrugged his shoulders and said, "I had to help a friend."

Shit, Vin swore under his breath and sat up as he heard Buck and JD coming his way. Then took several shallow breathes, deep ones were impossible right now because his pants were kinda tight. Dammit, Tanner, you should have known better, he silently fussed stilling trying to get his body back under control. When the breathing didn't help Vin thought of Charlotte and got an immediate response. Damn, he thought to himself with a grin, worked every time.

Buck and JD walked in with Josiah and Nathan right behind them. "You make the coffee, Shorty?" Buck asked as walked to the coffee pot.

"Shorty?" Vin repeated with a frown. "Who the hell you callin' Shorty?"

"You," Buck said and cringed as he looked at the coffee. "Dammit Vin, I don't know how you can drink this shit!"

"No one's making you drink it," the sharpshooter returned.

"Hell, with all the time you spend with Ezra you'd think some of his tastes would rub off on you," the surveillance specialist complained.

"It ain't as though we spend a hell of a lot of time in the kitchen," Vin countered and felt his face heat as he realized what he said. "Besides, who's to say my taste won't rub off on Ezra."

"That will never happen, Shorty."

"Don't call me, Shorty, Bucklin," the Texan warned. "And why not?"

"You call me Bucklin and I'll you Shorty. Because you don't have any taste this damn coffee you drink done killed all your taste buds," Buck told him with a nod of his head and a twinkle in his eyes.

Josiah laughed at their antics until he noticed the ring on Vin's left pinky. "That your Valentine's present?"

"Yeah. You wanna see it?" Vin asked with a big contagious grin.

The older man could see how much Vin wanted to show it off and before he'd even finished saying yes, the younger man was at his side, handing him the ring. "It looks old. Is it an antique?"

"It was Ezra's father's ring, but I don't know about it being an antique," he shrugged.

Buck whistled as he took the ring from Josiah. "Damn Vin, Ezra must really like you," he couldn't help but tease.

"He more than likes me. Ezra loves me," Vin stated with conviction.

"He tell you that in the heat of passion?" the dark-haired man asked and then grinned as Vin's face flushed with color.

"No," he snapped, "I mean yes. He tells me all the time."

"Don't pay Buck no mind, Vin, he's just pissed because he went home alone last night," JD told them.

"Where's Chris?" Nathan asked hoping to change the subject.

"He had an early meeting with the judge," Vin replied.

Walking over to his desk Buck sat on the corner and looked at Vin and asked, "Hey, Shorty, why don't you and Ezra ride together?"

The sharpshooter shook his head and said, "I don't see how you can call me Shorty. You ain't that much taller than me."

"I got a good five inches on you," Buck pointed out.

"Seems to me you ought be calling JD or Ezra Shorty instead," Vin told him.

"Hey! He already calls me Kid. So don't go giving him any more ideas," JD threw in.

"And I don't think Ezra would appreciate being called Shorty," Josiah warned them.

"Maybe not, but he won't do anything to you if you did," Buck teased.

Nathan laughed at the look Josiah sent Buck and said, "Josiah presses his luck calling Ezra son. I don't think he wants to start calling him Shorty."

Josiah just grinned and sat down at his desk.

Seeing Vin sit back down at his desk had Buck realizing that he'd never answered his question. "Hey, Vin you never answered my question."

Vin shot the lanky agent a go to hell look and said, "We can't, at least not all the time without raising questions, you know that."

"Don't go getting your drawers in a twist, I was just asking."

"Bite me, Bucklin."

Buck laughed and said, "No thank you, I'll leave that pleasure to Ezra."

Vin groaned and the others laughed because they knew he'd walked right into that one.

After a few minutes things settled down and they each drifted off to do their own thing. JD played a computer game. Buck was answering some email. Josiah sat reading a book Ezra had lent him and Nathan was on the phone with Rain, who was out of town at the moment.

And Vin tried to work. Honestly he did try, but thoughts of Ezra kept messing with his concentration. Giving in to temptation Vin propped his head in his hand and pretended to read the open file in front of him. Stretching out his long legs he let his mind wonder back to the previous night...

Lifting his legs and raising his hips Vin moaned deep in his throat as Ezra filled him in one long slow stroke. Wrapping his legs around Ezra's chest Vin met him thrust for thrust. Burying his fingers deep in Ezra's hair, he brought him down for a soul searing kiss. Feeling the delicious tension build in intensity the Texan clutched his southerner closer and groaned out his name and told him that he loved him over and over again as they both found their release at the same time.

Vin welcomed Ezra's weight pressing him into the mattress and wrapped his arms more securely around him. After few minutes he felt Ezra easing off him and tightened his hold on him even though he was on the verge of sleep. Only once Ezra promised to be right back did he finally release him.

The Texan fought to keep his eyes open until Ezra returned carrying a washcloth. After cleaning them both up the wet cloth was tossed in the bathroom and he laid his head on Ezra's chest and snuggled closer and sighed as he felt Ezra's arms surround him. And just as he was giving in to his exhaustion Ezra whispered that he loved him.

Neither of them moved again until the alarm clock went off the next morning. Then Ezra merely reached over and knocked the offending thing off the table and onto the floor. Vin grinned as he stayed there draped across him. Wrapping his arms around Ezra he flipped them over and gently kissed his closed eyes before planting a hard quick kiss to those tempting lips before getting up and heading for the bathroom.

Stepping back into the room he smiled tenderly as he saw Ezra hugging his pillow and went into the livingroom to get his clothes. Walking back into the room buttoning his shirt Vin chided himself for forgetting his change of clothes at home. Knelling on the floor beside the bed he brushed the hair off Ezra's forehead. Vin loved that Ezra was letting his soft chestnut hair grow longer. After placing a kiss on his cheek Vin got up and had just reached the door when he heard Ezra call his name.

The ringing of the phone broke Vin out of his dream like state and had him looking up at the clock and he smiled as he realized that Ezra would be here any minute now. The last half hour was taking it toll on the sharpshooter's control and he impatiently tapped his fingers on his desk before getting up to poor himself another cup of coffee.

Ezra stepped into the empty elevator and pushed the button for his floor. Leaning back against the wall, he thought back to this morning.

He felt the brush of Vin's lips and opened his eyes only to grin as he watched his lover walk away. Ezra allowed him to get as far as the door before called his name. Once Vin had turned to face him, he said, "You forgot to tell me bye."

Vin grinned, but didn't come any closer and replied, "See ya later Ez."

Ezra let him take two steps before saying in a sleepy Southerner voice, "You didn't tell me you loved me."

"I love you Ezra P., P for Persistent, Standish," the Texan promptly told him with a blinding smile.

Vin hadn't even taken a step before he called his name again. Ezra fought to keep the smile off his face as his lover walked back to the bed and said, "Ezra I don't want to go either, but I've got to take a shower and change my clothes."

With a grin he got to his knees and knelt in front of Vin, leaned in closer and whispered, "I just wanted to tell you that I loved you too."

Ezra heard Vin groan just before his lips were captured and he was thoroughly kissed, leaving them both breathless. As Vin pulled back Ezra planted a brief kiss on each closed eye then blazed a trial down his face and began unbuttoning Vin's shirt, but before he reached those tempting lips Ezra found his arms empty. Forcing his desire leaden eyes open he saw his Texan shaking his head and backing away from him. With a smile on his face Ezra stepped out of the bed and stopped only as Vin's out stretched hand made contact with his chest.

"Ezra," he moaned and with a laugh said, "Don't do this to me. I gotta go."

"Do what?" the Southerner asked in innocence. "I'm only walking you to the door."

"Yeah right," Vin muttered with a grin playing at his lips.

Ezra gasped as he suddenly found himself pushed back until he landed on the bed with a bounce and couldn't help, but laugh as Vin said, "Bye Ezra, I love you. I'll see you at work." Then his lover was gone. With a smile on his face Ezra wrapped his arms around Vin's pillow, pulled the cover back up and snuggled deeper in the bed and promptly fell asleep.

With a shake of his head Ezra brought his left hand up and kissed the ring on his finger. Stepping out of the elevator he made his way down the hall and paused just in the door way and smiled as he spotted Vin by the coffee pot.

"Morin' Ezra," JD said with a grin.

"JD," Ezra said never taking his eyes off Vin. He'd been thinking of his blue-eyed lover since he left this morning. He had in fact, relived their entire night together as well as their morning. Thinking back to this morning made Ezra's smile widen and with an unconscious thought stepped closer to Vin only to stop as something hit him on the side of the head.

"Sorry 'bout that, Shorty. I was trying to hit JD," Buck said with a grin.

Turning he gave Buck a narrowed eyed look and mouthed the word Shorty. "Mr. Wilmington I highly suggest that you desist in calling me that or I'll be forced to take drastic measures," Ezra warned him as he continued on to his desk.

"Like what," the lanky agent asked him and paused before adding, "Shorty?"

"Like, revealing some secrets," he warned him.

"I haven't got any secrets, Shorty. My life's an open book."

"Oh, really?" he asked and turned to look at Josiah before continuing, "Josiah do you remember that chili you fixed for us a couple of weeks ago?"

"I remember," the older man said with a grimace on his face. "Why?"

Ezra nodded his head in sympathy. Josiah had gotten sick and had not been able to eat chili since. "Well, it would seem..."

"Ezra!"

"That your particular bowl was..."

"Ezra!"

"Tainted."

"Tainted? With what?" Josiah asked getting to his feet.

Ezra looked from Josiah to Buck with a blank look on his face then suddenly grinned and said, "With a lax..." The words were cut off as a hand was placed across his mouth and another was wrapped around Ezra's chest and Buck then spun away from Josiah as the larger man tried to grab him.

"Buck! Did you put laxative in my chili?!" Josiah exclaimed.

"It was an accident! I swear, Josiah," Buck pleaded still clutching Ezra to him using him as a shield. "Chris was suppose to get that bowl."

"What!" Turning they saw their leader standing in the doorway watching them with a frown on his face.

Vin, JD, and Nathan could do nothing for laughing.

Ezra's eyes sparkled with laughter as he made contact with Josiah and when the older man nodded Ezra dropped to the floor.

Buck hollered and jumped back, but he wasn't fast enough as the profiler wrapped a large hand around his neck. The others laughed as Josiah appeared to be putting the Vulcan death grip on the still protesting agent, but was only pinching the nerves forcing the man to his knees. "Promise you won't ever do it again and I'll let you go," Josiah bargained with him.

"Ow! Ow, ow, Josiah! I promise, I promise," Buck vowed with a grimace of pain on his face and then sighed in relief as he was released. "Damn but that hurt!"

"Good," the big man said as he returned to his desk.

Still on the floor Ezra grinned at Buck and asked, "What's my name?"

"Mud," he muttered under his breath.

"I'm sorry, but I didn't catch that."

"Ezra. Your name's Ezra."

The undercover man laughed and took Vin's offered hand to pulled himself up. Pretending to over balance Ezra stumbled into his lover and clutched him tightly by the hip.

"You all right?" Vin asked with a twinkle in his blue eyes.

"Better now," he whispered just before stepping back.

"Okay, boys lets get back to work," Chris said as he headed toward his office.

"Damn can't you two keep your hands to yourselves," Buck teased as he got to his feet and began to dust off his pants when a glint of light caught his attention. Grabbing Ezra's left hand he held it up to his face and whistled, "Well, looky what Ezra got for Valentine's Day. Wonder who it's from?" Seeing the flush on Vin's face had him grinning.

Snatching his hand away Ezra placed his hands on his lean hips and said, "Buck I've been wearing this ring since I started here."

"Have not," Buck argued with a thoughtful look on his face.

"Are ya sure?" Vin asked.

"Yeah," he replied, but didn't sound all that convinced.

"Well I guess this proves you're not in law enforcement for nothing," Ezra said with a grin on his face and handed him his ring.

"I gave it to him last night," the Texan told him with a wink.

"Yeah, but when did ya give him the ring?" Buck teased bringing a flush to both men's cheeks. Wrapping an arm around both Vin and Ezra's shoulder he pulled them close and said, "All teasing aside. I'm really happy for you both. Each of them rings are elegant even in their simplicity and is a perfect reflection of the men wearing 'em." Having said his piece Buck quickly kissed each man on the cheek then stepped back and slapped them on the back of their heads just so they wouldn't expect this kind of sentimental mush all the time.

Ezra replaced his ring after everyone had gotten a look at it. It was funny how fast he'd gotten used to wearing it. Glancing at his lover he grinned as he saw him fingering his own ring. With a shake of his head Ezra sat down at his desk and realized just how lucky he was. Not only did he have a job he loved, but he had co-workers who were more like family than any blood relation he laid claim to. And more importantly he had Vin, who actually understood him and loved him anyway. Lady luck was certainly smiling on him.

Looking at his lover Ezra felt an almost uncontrollable urge to kiss him. He was up and on his feet before he knew it. Then for once Ezra threw his aversion to public displays of emotion to the winds and pulled a surprised Vin to his feet and gently kissed him on the lips. Then with a husky Southerner voice whispered, "I love you, Vin Tanner."

"I love you, too, Ezra Standish," Vin whispered in return.

Ezra then returned to his desk, pulled a folder out of his briefcase, and began to think about last night.

After he'd kicked the door shut he laid Vin on the bed...

The End.
