Ezra awoke to the warm aroma of soup and peeked open an eye to see his love set down a tray on the nightstand. Josiah took a seat on the bed when he noticed that Ezra was awake. He then lifted Ezra up, and as he moved to sit behind him, he brought the bowl of soup over to feed his healing lover. Ezra let out a pleasured sigh as he leaned his head against Josiah's chest, and then began to eat his soup as Josiah slowly fed it to him. "That was Chris on the phone. He said that they caught the guys who did this to you." Ezra paused in his chewing as he felt the tension pouring off of Josiah. He knew how much Josiah was torn between wanting to get even with the bastards who had hurt him and taking care of him. He bent his head down and kissed the strong arm that was holding the warm bowl. He smiled a little as he felt the tension slowly begin to leave Josiah's body. "Good," Ezra said as he leaned his head back against the strong chest once more. "I'm sure Chris and the others will enjoy playing with them," he finished as he gave Josiah a mischievous grin. Josiah looked down at his teasing love and shook his head. "Eat Ezra, and yes, I am sure that you are right, but I still wish that we could have done something to stop them," he said as he put another spoonful of the homemade chicken soup into Ezra's mouth. Ezra shook his head, "It wasn't your fault, Josiah. We didn't know that Team 6 had a rat in their mist. A rat that was working for the other side and giving them false information." He paused as he looked up at his lover. "It wasn't your fault, Josiah. Stop blaming yourself." Josiah let out a sigh as put down the soup, then wrapped his arms around his love's waist and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. "I know, and yes, you are right....but I still wish that I had been there to protect you." Ezra rolled his eyes at hearing that and asked, "What could you have possibly done, Josiah? Sure, you would have gotten a chance to beat them up a bit, but Josiah, I was out numbered 8 to 1. Even if you were there, they would have gotten to you, too. They would have hurt you even worse if they even knew how much I .... care... about.... you." Ezra looked up at Josiah with glistening eyes. "I love you, Josiah, and I couldn't stand seeing you hurt." Josiah let out a soft sigh and bent down to kiss his love again. This time it was a kiss filled with promise and love. Ezra let out a reproachful groan when he ended the kiss. "Turn around love, and finish eating your soup," Josiah said in response as he chuckled softly at the cute pout that was forming on Ezra's lips. "Kisses are reserved for good little lovers who eat all of their soup." Ezra rolled his eyes up at his silly love and turned back around. Josiah picked the soup up again from the nightstand and began to feed his love while he finished telling him of the events of the last two days.
