Vin sneezed. A tough way to wake up, sneezing right out of the blue. He opened his eyes and promptly shut them again, sure that he was dreaming. There wasn't really a multi-colored rabbit twitching its nose right in front of him, was there? Nah. Couldn't be. Yet his nose tickled with its imaginary fur and he sneezed again more softly. A single eye opened carefully, coaxing the other with it as he finally registered the truth. There it was, a multi-colored bunny. Yep. Twitching its nose.

Fortunately, it wasn't alive. The pink quiver died down as the motion sensor reset, and Vin pushed up on two hands to get a better look around. He wryly ignored the renewed nose acrobatics as his sleepy blue eyes immediately landed on a second rabbit, equally as colorful, perched on the edge of the bed. This one seemed to be leading the way to the next one (a bright, lime-green fella with a sky blue blow). Sitting up cross-legged, Vin rubbed his eyes and realized there was an entire parade of furry, neon-bright critters stretching from his room into the hallway and -- no doubt -- beyond.

Grinning, eyes sparkling, he jumped from the bed and began tracking his silent prey, stepping slowly and carefully in order to fully appreciate each and every fuzzy harbinger of mischief yet to come.

Little bunny feet gave way to bigger bunny feet and all the colors of the rainbow were represented -- and some shades he suspected even a rainbow had never imagined! They trooped through the hallway and down the stairs of the immaculate townhouse, leading the way to ...? Vin grinned with the possibilities.

Reaching what seemed to be the final rabbit, (this one almost four feet tall and more realistic than the rest and twice as cute) Vin stole a chocolate from the basket full of goodies hung from one beige paw. The other wooly mitt seemed to be indicating the closed door to the sun porch, and Vin pushed it open carefully.

The sight that awaited him started his heart beating to a rhythm even Thumper couldn't match and wanting caught. But it was more than lust. Tenderness mixed with laughter as he leaned against the doorframe, drinking in his gift and it slammed home how incredibly lucky he was.

Fast asleep, naked and on his belly, his Adonis lay. Perched atop his perfect, golden-tan bottom sat a big, puffy, white cottontail. His beloved profile lay in contrast to the brightly colored pillows of the couch, and the tousled silk masquerading as his hair caused the huge, white bunny ears to look as if they had grown there and were a permanent addition.

Vin slid down the frame of the door and sat, gathering his legs to him and resting his chin on his arms. Content for the moment to watch his lover dream, he blinked happy moisture from his eyes and thanked God silently for his fortune.
